Backend Developer at Shop-Ware

Shop-Ware is looking for Backend Software Developers to join our Platform Engineering team.

Qualifications desired:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Significant software and systems architectural experience. A strong understanding of how different web services and data stores can interact in a reliable, scalable fashion.
• Experience with AWS container or serverless technologies.
• Experience with architectural design and delivery of cloud-native software
• Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
• Great written and oral communication skills.
• Problem solver with a motivation for quality software craftsmanship.
• Focused and detail-oriented and are able to implement creative and technically sound solutions.

Shop-Ware is looking for Backend Software Developers to join our Platform Engineering team.

We are a rapidly-growing Series A startup delivering a SaaS platform at scale to thousands of auto repair facilities internationally.

In this role, you will:

• Design, plan, and implement system architectural changes and platform-wide backend services for a large Ruby on Rails web application at scale.
• Lead architectural vision and execution as the application and team grows.
• Extract and design new microservices from an existing Ruby on Rails monolith using AWS serverless platforms and JavaScript/Typescript.
• Continually improve development practices to deliver a highly-available, quality product.
