Back-End Software Developer at Maxar Technologies

Maxar is currently seeking a Back-End Software Developer to join our xLab team. This role can be performed remotely within the United States.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a US citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. A Master's degree may count as 2 years of experience.).
• 5+ years demonstrated experience with programming, design, and development.
• In-depth of knowledge in Python or Java.
• Experience developing REST APIs.
• Exposure to building and supporting solutions in AWS.
• Working knowledge of agile software development practices and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current/active Secret security clearance and be willing and able to obtain a higher security clearance.
• Development experience with current frameworks (e.g., Fast API, Flask, Spring).
• SQL/database/ORM experience, especially Postgres.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Redis or Kafka.
• AWS Associate and/or Pro Certification(s).
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Northern Virginia (DMV) location or proximity to a Maxar office.

Description

Maxar is currently seeking a Back-End Software Developer to join our xLab team. This role can be performed remotely within the United States.

In this role, you'll work closely with other software developers as well our amazing design team leveraging Maxar’s product offerings to build a diverse range of applications. Our “go-to” stack is Postgres, Python / Fast API, TypeScript / React deployed on AWS, but we need expertise across many other technologies.

Our salary ranges are market-driven and set to allow for flexibility. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

$107,000.00 - $179,000.00 annually.
