Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Expertise with object-oriented programming languages. Particularly Python.
  • Expertise with relational databases. Particularly PostgreSQL
  • Experience with API frameworks (e.g. Flask, FastAPI, Ruby on Rails).
  • Proven ability to design, build, and document APIs
  • Strong technical communication skills
  • Results-focused, collaborative, and pragmatic

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • FinTech / Finance experience
  • Familiarity / Expertise with FastAPI framework
  • Familiarity with Ops platforms tools and processes (AWS, GCS, etc.)
  • Data pipeline experience
  • Familiarity with Docker

About the Role

To help Trust scale our products and our team, we need an engineer that wants to step into a central role in our company. We are looking for an engineer whose work will focus on our core API but will involve projects up and down our stack.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners to define functional and non-functional requirements
  • Design software architecture and systems to meet specified requirements
  • Work closely with technical and non-technical team members
  • Produce documentation for software and systems
  • Develop features in our API codebase (implement / update models, database migrations, API routes, business logic)
  • Refactor code as necessary to improve performance and security
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Assist in building a team of software developers (assist with hiring, mentorship, etc.)

Required Qualifications

3+ years of software development experience.

Expertise with object-oriented programming languages. Particularly Python.

Expertise with relational databases. Particularly PostgreSQL
