AI Software Engineer (Mid) at Defense Unicorns
We need one to Develop new software features for the LeapfrogAI platform.
Qualifications for the Ideal Unicorn:
- 4+ years experience with software development teams
- Knowledge of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Strong software development skills (Python, Go, etc.)
- Experience with security and build automation
- Comfortable developing in open source while delivering tailored solutions to customers
- (Plus) Familiarity with microservices developed using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
What You'll Be Responsible for:
- The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background check (“CBI”) and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
- Work on a fully remote disciplinary product team developing and deploying state-of-the art AI backend software
- Develop new software features for the LeapfrogAI platform
- Collaborate with platform engineers to secure and deploy software to air-gap production environments
- Design and implement APIs to serve Large Language Models (LLMs) to frontend development teams
- Stay abreast of breakthroughs in open source LLMs (HuggingFace)
- Leverage other Defense Unicorns products include Zarf, UDS, and more
- Integrate features across multiple open source projects
- Communicate your work to domain and non-domain experts through your writing, presentations, and training sessions
