AI Software Engineer (Mid) at Defense Unicorns

We need one to Develop new software features for the LeapfrogAI platform.

Qualifications for the Ideal Unicorn:

• 4+ years experience with software development teams
• Knowledge of AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Strong software development skills (Python, Go, etc.)
• Experience with security and build automation
• Comfortable developing in open source while delivering tailored solutions to customers
• (Plus) Familiarity with microservices developed using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker

What You'll Be Responsible for:

• The selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background check (“CBI”) and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance (Top Secret preferred).
• Work on a fully remote disciplinary product team developing and deploying state-of-the art AI backend software
• Develop new software features for the LeapfrogAI platform
• Collaborate with platform engineers to secure and deploy software to air-gap production environments
• Design and implement APIs to serve Large Language Models (LLMs) to frontend development teams
• Stay abreast of breakthroughs in open source LLMs (HuggingFace)
• Leverage other Defense Unicorns products include Zarf, UDS, and more
• Integrate features across multiple open source projects
• Communicate your work to domain and non-domain experts through your writing, presentations, and training sessions
